hey guys HDV here and welcome to a brand new video today we’ve got a ton of new stuff to go over a major new Pokemon Champions rumor has dropped we have new Pokémon events that have been announced and as well as that a pretty big Nintendo Switch 2 update to go over as well there’s a lot of things to take a look at today so if you’re excited for the video drop a like down below leave a comment subscribe if you’re brand new and let’s get into the video so starting things off let’s go over some new Pokémon events that have been announced we have Latas and Latios coming to Pokemon Unite we have Cereb here tweeting out saying “Cereave update Pokemonite has confirmed that Latias and Latios will both release as playable Pokémon for the game’s 4th anniversary so two brand new legendary Pokémon coming to the Pokemon moa and then we have a little bit of information about these two Pokémon from Elcho Eevee who of course is basically the main data miner of Pokemonite in the community.” Uh so for Latias it is a support ro technique of four survivor of five agility of seven control of five auxiliary of 10 damage of three uh and then the tags are ranged intermediate special attack and then we’ll also have foratios has an attacking role uh MVP roll is attack and then also technique of eight survival of three agility of eight control of five auxiliary of one damage of eight ranged intermediate special attack so both special attacking ranged intermediate uh Pokemon joining Pokemon Unite but I think they’re going to look uh they’re going to be very very fun to play i’ve already seen like uh Latio has this ability where he can literally teleport to the other side of the arena so it looks like it could be a little bit broken you can only do it like every 90 seconds or something i think El Chico EV has actually uploaded some gameplay of both of them that has been data mined so make sure to go check that out if you do want to uh see the latest information on the new Pokémonite characters and then as well as that we have a new update for Pokemon Go this is quite a big one because golden bottle caps are coming to the game we have leaked duck here posting saying the golden bottle cap will be available for the first time in the gold deluxe pass during the ancients recovered event in Pokémon Go the golden bottle cap will allow trainers to increase the stats of any buddy Pokémon through hyperraining tasks trainers will have 365 days to complete hyper training there will be different tasks to complete to increase the attack defense and HP of your Pokémon and there’s obviously just a video about it there but we do have a little bit more of an update about this as well from PLLDH uh saying Pokémon Go’s hyper training feature has been detailed using a bottle cap begins a training program with a time limit of a year complete the tasks to raise the stats but the first gold bottle cap will only be available through the Ancient Recovered Deluxe Go Pass which is $20 so obviously it is paywalled because it’s Pokémon Go um but it’s $20 to basically get um a Hyundo IV Pokémon i assume that’s the case anyway I don’t play Pokémon Go anymore cuz I just really don’t like the direction the game went but uh I feel like even though it’s $20 that’s actually cheaper in the long run because I assume most people are going to be maximizing a hundo shiny so they’ve got like a legendary shiny that’s like I don’t know 14 14 15 or something they really want it to be 100% IV like how many raids would you have to do to get a perfect shiny Hundo legendary quite a lot which might cost you more than $20 whereas you can just use this hyper training and then do it that way like I mean it’s it’s paid to win I guess or whatever or pay to get the thing i mean it’s Pokémon Go so obviously that is the case but says other notable aspects of the bottle caps and hyper training you can pick how much to raise a stat and then caps expire uh the first gold bottle cap will expire July the 6th 11:59 p.m regardless of whether it is claimed so yeah I mean I see both sides of the argument but uh it’s Pokémon Go so obviously you’re gonna have to pay for it but anyway those are the latest updates for different Pokémon games moving on we have a new Nintendo Switch 2 update to go over this is all about um these sort of MIG Switch cartridges and apparently some interesting things have been happening to people that are trying to use them so uh this is Go Nintendo tweet here tweeting out saying “Rumor Nintendo is banning Nintendo Switch 2’s using the MIG Switch cartridge so avoid the banhammer.” So Nintendo has never been one to take piracy lightly so it should come as no surprise that multiple reports are coming in that Nintendo is banning Nintendo Switch 2 systems caught using the MIG Switch cartridge so in case you’re unaware I actually am i have no idea what this is the MIG Switch cartridge is as the name implies a cartridge that can be loaded up with Switch games so it’s very similar to like the R4 on the Nintendo DS basically so I assume you just dump kind of the ROM of the Switch onto the cartridge and then you put that cartridge into your Nintendo Switch 2 and then you can basically play all the games for for free basically um but now it looks like Nintendo have kind of got a hold of this situation and are bricking Nintendo Switch 2 if they are using this cartridge so these game uh these game can either come from a player’s dump of their own legally purchased games or downloads of pirated games off the internet the latter undoubtedly being what Nintendo hopes to counter while the MIG was initially only compatible with Nintendo Switch One a recent firmware update made it Switch 2 compatible and that’s when the reports started coming in so these reports seem to indicate that Nintendo Switch 2’s caught with the MIG cartridge are barred from connecting to the internet though it seems the user accounts remain intact you can see an image of what the error looks like down below so uh this is Switch Tools so my Nintendo Switch 2 test has been banned after using the MIG Switch which per with perfectly legal dumps of my own cartridges so it would seem that Nintendo can detect something similar reports on Reddit starting to come in um so this is the error code so it says the use of online services on this console is currently restricted by Nintendo so if you’re using one of these cartridges even if you’re I guess using your own game dumping it and then popping that onto it it will still kind of brick your Switch from going online obviously it’s to stop people just downloading it all illegally offline online and stuff which you know fair play it’s illegal at the end of the day um but yeah it also will affect it if uh you’re you’re using your own perfectly legal dumps of your own cartridges uh given that the Nintendo Switch 2 just released earlier this month it’s no surprise that Nintendo is watching the potential piracy scene for the console like a hawk we’ll keep you updated on any further developments should they happen i mean I don’t even know why this is labeled as a rumor because it literally it’s it’s right there like we have literal evidence of it happening and multiple people are now reporting it on Reddit as well so if you do have one of these cartridges probably best not to put it in your Nintendo Switch 2 cuz it’s a good chance that it will brick your Switch 2 and you will not be able to go online you’ll still be able to access your Switch 2 and play games but it’s all going to be locally and offline and your user profile will still be fine but like I say you will not be able to connect to the internet with it which is uh obviously a shame and that’s a big part of the Nintendo Switch 2 so yeah that’s just I guess a little bit of a warning if you do use these you might not want to put it into your Nintendo Switch too finishing things off for today’s video we have a pretty big Pokemon Champions rumor to go over this was posted yesterday on the 16th of June it’s titled Pokemon Champions uh and it’s posted by Anonymous this was posted on 4chan so as always take it with a massive grain of salt very likely to be false especially when the rumor is this big uh we are most likely going to be getting some Pokémon Champions news next month during the July the 22nd presents um but either way this is apparently some more information about the upcoming game so it says “I’ve been able to access to a trailer i don’t know if it’s the next one for the pres uh I don’t know if it’s the next one for the next present on the 22nd where they talk about Pokemon champions i’m here to share but I can’t attach any kind of image or video which is you know obviously very convenient for this person that has apparently seen the trailer but they cannot attach any videos or images uh so they present Pokemon Champions as the new main game for the competitive format because they want to detach a little uh bit but the main games from the competitive format to be able to focus more on other ideas so this is kind of the um I guess the idea going around with this whole Pokémon Champions game like people are expecting this to be the new competitive game which it makes sense because they’ve literally brought out or or bringing out a competitive hub like surely that would just be the competitive game because yes you’re still going to have online battling and stuff in generation 10 and whatever but if they are bringing out a sole competitive game where VGC is there all the gimmicks and stuff like you’d like to think that is going to be where it all takes place because you can’t have every gimmick in a Pokemon game you know in like generation 10 you’re not going to have Mega Evolution Zoo Dynamax Gigantamax and whatever gimmick Gen 10 has whereas in this game you can have that because it’s been built to have all that so I I wouldn’t be surprised if this is kind of the new norm at worlds and stuff like that in the future but obviously we’ll have to wait and see uh it says talk about how having to create games thinking about the competitive aspect and the adventure aspect limited them when they are trying to expand in certain fields so now they will have separate uh this aspect definitively i mean I’m kind of all for it if it means that they can spend more time like they might just split the group up into like the competitive group and then like the actual uh kind of I guess the generation making group where they um they can concentrate more on the story and the Pokémon and stuff like that and then the competitive side of things will just be taken care of in Pokemon Champions i I would actually be okay with that because everybody wins if you want to play competitive you download Pokemon Champions which is free you don’t have to buy it obviously you need a Nintendo Switch online to play it but then you could just get it on your mobile and that I guess that’s still free and then if you want to play the story and stuff then you just go out and get the generation 10 game or whatever so I think everybody wins in that sense um we just don’t know how long it would take for like the newer Pokemon to kind of get incorporated in Pokemon Champions but then you’d still have online battling and stuff in Pokemon Generation 10 uh it says in champions we will have a roster of more than 300 species at the uh at the start among which we will show some Pokemon like Greninja Blazkin Godavore Peliper Charizard and Tyranitar i love how they’re just like all pseudo legendaries or Pokemon with mega evolutions and starters and stuff and then it’s just Peliper uh some mons some more are seen in passing but no legendaries or mythicals and then it says the game will feature a small story mode for players less familiar with the competitive scene uh that can understand it in a simple way to show how the double battle system works among other things yeah I mean they probably will have like some small tutorial thing just so you can kind of like they’ll have like like we know they’ve got casual and ranked and stuff like that so uh yeah it’ll just be a way to kind of like I guess get you slowly into it and then more det more more details about this mode will be revealed in the future and they promise that it will be interesting and entertaining to play even for veterans and then they go and say they go to talk about the fights and here’s all the interesting stuff in the video uh so we have new moves uh coming to Pokemon champions dark terrain which increases the power of sinister moves and cancels flinch and speed drops uh grimace is seen you is seen using it and then we have laughter which is an ability or a move saying distracts the opponent so that during the turn they can’t make status moves whimsy Kai is seen using it i mean it I don’t know if they were going to make a move called laughter but each to their own uh and then it says it will be possible to use different mechanics such as terrestalization or mega evolutions they do not mention anything about Z moves or Dynamax but only one per fight they give the example of Charizard Y and Garchomp Terrestilization Earth so obviously ground i mean it looks like we will have Dynamax and Gigantamax because the stadiums that we saw that the kind of uh Pokemon are battling in in Pokemon Champions it looks big enough for a Dynamax or a Gigantamax Pokemon so I’m very confident we’ll have that i mean like I say it’s going to have every gimmick in my opinion because if you’re going to have Mega Evolution Terrestilization and very likely Dynamax and Gigantamax you’re probably going to have Z moves as well like I don’t know why you would just leave that out especially when it is the main competitive hub of Pokemon so I think every gimmick will just get added to it uh is very very likely to be the case uh the available Pokémon and some mechanics will be changing in each regulation to give more diversity to the competitive format and the opportunity to certain Pokémon uh I mean at the end of the day with Pokemon champions they need to get every Pokemon in as quick as possible because if there’s only 300 at the start and then let’s say they add in like a 100 every 6 months or whatever or 3 months like there’s just going to be a pure meta every single time because if you have a Pokémon that can only really be defeated by a certain Pokemon cuz it’s like that broken or whatever and that Pokemon’s not in the game then it’s just going to run right and just own the meta until that Pokemon is added to the game so they need for the big competitive game every Pokemon in cuz then you can literally every battle you you don’t know what you’re going to go up against it’s like yeah there are obviously strong Pokémon that are used like you know Incin or whatever with Intimidate uh is used a lot but in the grand scheme of things people will then prepare for that and they’ll bring things that are very good against Incinor and maybe not everything that’s good against Incinor will be in the game from the get- go so like I say you need to add everything in as soon as possible in my opinion uh it says regulation system for the first time in Pokémon certain moves or abilities will be modified to adjust possible imbalances so give us an example the attack Make It Rain uh that with the new game will suffer a small loss of damage while attacks like flip turn will receive a power increase and I guess this wouldn’t affect the main series either because this would just be for competitives kind of like shake it up and stuff and then as for skills so abilities they say for the moment they can’t share the changes but they will be updated on the Pokemon champions page in patch notes why could they not why can they not show the abilities but they can show the moves that doesn’t really make any sense uh they promise that this game will be supported for a long time and hope that players will enjoy the new system for the competitors to come like I say I I still think it’s going to be the main thing at Worlds i would be surprised if this isn’t the direction that the competitive scene takes because as I say it’s free to download you don’t have to buy a game to you don’t need Pokemon like obviously Pokemon Home is also free but obviously you kind of need to pay for it to get the the best kind of things out of it but uh like I say Pokemon Champions is you could literally download it and then get into like I’d assume you’d be able to create teams in to some way shape or form and you’d be able to just get straight into it and get straight into competitive whereas in the main series games you start off at the start you got to train all these Pokemon catch all these Pokemon make them IV Eevee trained abilities natures uh moves everything like that it’s a it’s a long process whereas with champions you just jump straight in so like I say I think that it’s just a good direction for the competitive scene whether it looks like it or not now I think it will generally over the over the long run be very very uh appreciated announced that the release will be in early 2026 uh no date yet and then the next championship will start to be played in champions so obviously Worlds 2025 will be generation 9 but Worlds 2026 could be Pokemon Champions because it it potentially might be out then it it might not be because obviously they won’t have the full roster of Pokemon available so maybe they want to do it in 2027 with more more Pokemon available and stuff like that um but who knows i think 2026 is going to be a big year obviously it’s 30th anniversary Gen 10 uh mainly Pokemon Champions as well coming out uh and then of course we’ll probably get other things as well but h yeah that is everything for the latest Pokemon Champions rumor i don’t really believe it i just feel like there’s certain inconsistencies in this rumor also it’s just a massive rumor like usually when they’re this big it’s unlikely to happen um but yeah fair enough i mean we we should be finding out some champions
